LIFES A DRAG

Life's a Drag is a fun and heartfelt drag play that follows Maxine, an awkward Queer teenager, as she wrestles with her identity. Facing misogyny from the queer scene and homophobia from everyone else, Max is reliant on a dissociative identity that she has created, a tell-it-like-it is Drag Diva.

“This was one of those nights in a theatre where you felt lucky to be there. An important story told with energy, clarity and a huge amount of joy. You’ll laugh, and think, in equal measure.”  Nick Evans, Director. (Associate Director Rock of Ages, World Arena Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, Resident Director for the International Tour of Mamma Mia.)

“Don’t miss this show. It’s an amazing one woman performance by Nancy Brabin Platt- sensitive thought-provoking and funny! Inventively staged and superbly directed by Lois Brabin Platt.” Anne Brogan – BAFTA award winning producer.

Life’s A Drag (LAD) was at Theatre Peckham in May 2022 and is set for it’s second run at The Jack Theatre in Brockley in November 2022.
